front wheel arch gap

Featured Replies

hi, while at work today i noticed that my drivers front wheel sits further forward than the passenger one by about 10mm, the passenger side has an even gap all around it, but the drivers side has a bigger gap at the rear of the front wheel and a smaller gap at the front, there doesnt appear to be any damage to the wishbone or anything, any ideas to what it could possibly be or what to check, its had new wishbones, ball joints & arb bushes, if the ball joint was out of line could it cause it? many thanks, lee

Check your lower ball joint, someone on here had a mechanic ( well so called) only do up one of the three bolts. Maybe same has happened to you.

just a quick reply to say i found the cause of my problem, only ONE of the three ball joint bolts was holding the balljoint on, i dread to think what could of happend if it came out or the ball joint broke under the stress, so i'd just like to say to anybody as a warning that if youve done them or had them changed by someone else just maybe double check them, lots of us take our family & friends in our cars. on a lighter note i need to get the alignment done now, lee
