Vibrations in 2nd gear, DSG 7

Featured Replies

Update. So Skoda in Newport ended up having the car for damn near a fortnight over the Xmas period, where at one point, Skoda UK claiming that I had "no extended warranty" and refused to pay out. After a swift threat of court action, the garage double checked and indeed Skoda were wrong. Car had a whole "new clutch" at apparently a cost of £1200, and all paid for under the warranty.

I've now done 5K in the car since I've had it back in Jan (I drive a lot) and it's been fine since. I actually purchased a warranty for year 6 of the cars life, as I'm going to be throwing another 25K through it this year and I want to cover myself as the engine is one from the age of dicky chain tensioners. If I have a good year I may extend the warranty again, then after year 7 shove it off for something else. Hopefully by then I'll get a job closer to home.
