Vcds coding all done

Featured Replies

Just got my micro can USB from Ross-tech and have now coded my sat nab and is working fully also i have done the Needle staging/sweep and have cornering fog lights activated as well.

Just wondering if you can activate the coming home/leaving fog lights, if you do not have the auto light feature and without xenons.

Also can you have the dipping wing mirror in reverse if you do not have folding wing mirrors

Thanks Ross....

Alas you need an electric driver's seat to get the dipping passenger mirror and to have coming home/leaving home lights you need a light sensor next to the mirror (lest it does this day and night).

I know this can be done on Audi's without having the memory function on the seats.

You enable it with VCDS on the passenger door....something like this "Address 52: Door Elect, Pass."

Then change byte 4, bit 3, I think its like 50 to 5C or 40 to 4C depending on if you have folding mirrors or not.

You HAVE TO have the mirror knob selector turned to the passenger side for it work.

Search google and you'll find a few guides.

The memory function means you can set the position individually to your own requirements, without the memory function it goes to a default position which works fine when I tried it on my mates A4.

I'll be trying it when I get my Yeti...which has been sitting in the lease companys yard for the last 2 weeks >:(

Well there you go! Interesting.

By the way mine does NOT have folding mirrors. So I suspect you can do this tweak to ANY Yeti, folding mirrors or not.

The mirror control button has to always be in the L position for this to work. And normally this is the only way I remember that I have the bloody mirror heaters on! Doh. When I select reverse and my passenger mirror does not drop. What a stupid system this VW one is to heat the mirrors without a timer! Really daft.

Could not get it to work but may have missed something i do not know

I have an S model (no auto light or electric seats or auto dimming mirrors) and it was not possible to add coming home light.

Nope can't make it work on an elegance without the memory seats either

Thought it might work with the auto switch retrofit but it seems may still have to have a sensor fitted which i have not

Yes you're right. Fitting an auto switch won't help since it needs the light sensor to know when to activate this feature and when not to (i.e. in the day!)
