Estate boot lights.

Featured Replies

is there a separate fuse for the boot lights? they dont come on and the bulbs are fine. have not had a chance to test to see if there power going to them. Also, where is the switch to turn them on? im guessing in the boot latch?

any help would be cool as its pretty dark in there at night.

Our estate had the n/s boot light not working until recently although the bulb was OK. The garage fixed it last week and mentioned there was a short in the wiring under the CD changer, (which is located close by). Interesting that this was the location where there was previously a wiring problem that caused the rear wiper to wipe continuously.

Checked it all out down by the cd player. All looks well.

any other suggestions?

These lights are -ve switched (iirc), so check you have +12v at the light fittings. If not, then check fuses (not sure which one off hand). If not negative switch wire, check the loom near to the hinges for a broken wire.
