Hi, I have an Octavia 1.9tdi blueline. It has never been a good starter and takes a lot of power from the battery. I replaced the glowplugs but it didn't help. It is worse in cold weather and when it does start it gives out a belch of unburnt fuel. After the engine has warmed up it starts freely. The engine has no problem running but, if left in the cold for an extended period, the starting problem begins again. Can anyone advise? thanks
