Help to identify Eibach springs

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I took these Eibach springs off my Fabia 1.9TDI the other day. I assume these are the Eibach Pro Kit springs, but can anyone confirm? The part number EW7911001VA is written on the front springs but a google search only brings up German or Polish sites, so I'm not entirely sure.

They look like pros being black. If no one knows I have a contact email address for someone in Eibach.

My Eibach pro street coil overs have dark red springs.

Think you must have the sportline ones Mr Rooney sir.

Eibach pro's are definitely black. I have the pro's on mine. Just been on the website to double check too

Thanks guys, sounds like they are pro kit springs then. Any idea what they're worth? They're in good condition, think they've done about 25K miles.

Are they VRS Springs? If so Im interested PM sent

look like pros, iv got a set of new ones in my garage awaiting fitment, ill check the part numbers tomorrow,

Thanks Rich that would be really handy

Brads - I'm not sure if they are for a VRS or not, they came off my TDI estate. I imagine they will fit a VRS OK, but not sure if they need a different spring rate as they are heavier at the front I think. Maybe someone else can confirm this?

According to data from eibachs website:

1.9 vRS - Lowering 30 mm, Axle Load FA to 960 kg, Axle Load RA to 840 kg

1.9 tdi/sdi - Lowering 30 mm, Axle Load FA to 900 kg, Axle Load RA to 800 kg

They're not the VRS ones. I found a portuguese site with the full Eibach catalogue on it. http://www.tecnauto.com/images/pdf/eibachprecos2005.pdf

number on my rear springs is

eibach W/X

118500802VA

Thanks for the help guys. They are definitely pro kit springs then, which according to the Eibach catalogue vindaloo kindly provided the link to, means they are suitable for pretty much any fabia except for the VRS. Sorted!

I'll be posting a for sale ad in the classifieds section as soon as I have my freedom membership activated.

Hi guys

A quick update on this...

I've put my springs in the for sale section on here, but I've been getting some queries from people asking whether they will fit other model fabias (ie a 1.4 etc).. I found this catalogue online http://www.koenigseder.at/uploads/tx_posprjkoenigproducts/Eibach_Katalog_01.pdf which has shed some light on the issue.

It looks like the part numbers stamped on my springs ( EW7911001VA on the front, and EW7910002HA on the rear) indicate that I have the kit with the part number E7911-140 which is for 2.0, 1.4 TDI, 1.9 SDI, 1.9 TDI models. It looks like the kit for the 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.4 16V models have the exact same rear springs, but the fronts are stamped with a number one different from mine. But according to the catalogue, the front axle loads are all the same at 900kg (apart from the VRS which is 960kg).

So... my question is... does anyone know whether the eibach kits are interchangeable for all models of Fabia except from the VRS? Will they all fit or are the springs a different shape/design between different models?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I would say they are not going to fit the 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.4 16V models, I would assume they are for the heavier Diesel Engines? I'm sure another member will confirm if this is the case or not.

I thought that might be the case, but the front axle loads for the springs are identical (900kg) which seems odd if the diesel cars are heavier at the front?
