Auxiliary stereo input - help needed please!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I 'm after a little assistance as the local Skoda Parts desk isn't a lot of help. I need to find the part number of the lead that goes from the back of the stereo to the 'Aux' point in the Octavia MkII. Does your car have an auxiliary input?

If so, could you let me know what head unit your car has or, alternatively, your registration number (so I can give it to the Skoda parts dept. - I know this is a big ask and don't really expect anyone to - but it's worth asking!!!) so that I can order one to fit to my Superb to allow me to play my MP3's.

Many thanks

Simon

Easier just to make one isnt it? The aux lead is only 3 wires, earth, left audio, right audio.

You cannot buy the cable itself, however you can buy the required parts individually and assemble your own cable. However, if the Octavia has an early Audience headunit or a non Stream MP3 headunit there is no Aux input connection on the rear of these headunits.

when you say early Audience, how early are you talking about ???

Ah - I see - the one I found here does, on reflection, look homemade. I have found the various components so will fabricate my own - it's for a Superb with Sat Nav by the way

Thanks for the replies.
