Aftermarket Bluetooth - What's yours ?

Featured Replies

I converted my Seecode Tube (meant to be on the visor) to sit under the stereo. works great and is very easy to charge / operate.

I must say though, the reception on this is awesome. My Wife sometimes tells me not to shout when I'm not ! emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Mon the OEM bluetoothers :giggle:

mine is stuck in the windscreen (solar powered) and was about £30 from fleabay, works perfectly

yep, stock one too for me. I don't play smarta$$ as I probably wouldn't have ordered it if I bought a custom-built vRS but it was already fitted in the car I purchased.

And yes, it does work like a charm!!! :giggle:

OEM Bluetooth here as well.. Although retrofitted. Works like a champ!

Seriously? I think most vRS owners have it and there's also been a few threads about configuring/troubleshooting although it's so easy to make the initial connection and you don't have to worry after that. It automatically finds your phone whenever you switch on, and even stays connected if you switch off but leave the key on. So you can have a long call without having to keep the car idling. It also supports voice command, copy of your phone book to the car's memory etc. etc. For some phones it also supports showing an SMS you just recieved on maxidot! Very good overall.

If you check the skoda website I'm sure you'll find it.

Edit: Another nice feature is that you can stream music directly from your mobile to the speakers without using AUX cables which generally add distortion or having to keep the phone nearby, and therefore eliminating its comfortable use as a GPS. That was one of the reasons I didn't care I could not connect my phone through MDI (no Amundsen) since I could play my music in top quality through Bluetooth and since have my phone in a comfortable place on the dashboard for GPS navigation.

Nice :-) I wanted a oem one but was told there hard to fit post factory by the dealership. So didn't bother but now looking at the options available.

It is really not hard to fit everything.. Took me about one hour. Recon I spent more than half of the time it took on making room for the cables behind the radio unit.

Which part did you buy?

Exactly what I was thinking ? emoticon-0124-worried.gif

+1 for car systems. I did the same and asked what would work in my. When I got it it was a doddle to fit and worked perfectly.

Does it replace mdi input?
