octavia scout or volvo xc70

Featured Replies

Thanks again for the replies. It looks like i will have to put the miles in to go and view some scouts because it does not look like there are many about in my budget. What service plan would you guys choose for the car if we do 15k per year town and A road driving mostly?.Thanks once again

This is personal but Im never happy with Turbo cars going to far without an oil change. Ours is on variable & was giving around 18K service intervals. I have stuck to this but had oil & filter done at around mid point between services. as I said purely a personal thing

I too prefer fresh oil at least once a year. Better for the engine and turbo so it's 'fixed' for both my Octavia's.

What makes this easier is that Skoda's are cheap to service.

My local Skoda dealer offers a full fixed service for £130.00. Better still they also offer a 'service plan', 2x fixed services and 2x MOT's (including any costs needed to pass) for £299. Take off the costs of the MOT's and it works aout at just over £100/service.

So basically doing 15,000 miles a year on the fixed service interval you'll be paying approx £150/year for servicing - I don't think you'll manage that at a Volvo dealer, or many other manufacturers to be fair
