Got a new heater blower for 57 Octavia 1.9 PD TDi Elegance Estate

How easy are these to fit

already taken off the kick plate under Glove box, but further assistance would be appreciated

Ive posted this on your other thread but once you have taken the kick pannel off you sould see the motor on the left hand side. If you have the new one you should easily be able to identify it, its basically the only thing there that looks round.

I cant remember exactley but I think there was a least one screw holding the round motor in place. Get a torch and shine it up on to the unit and it should be obvious as to the location and quanity of any fixing screws.

Once any fixing screws are removed (if there are any) the mnotor twist locks in place so you need to twist it about a quarter turn and then it drops down. From there you need to get it at the right angle to pull it out. Thats the hardest part TBH. Then repeat to get the new one back in.

Its really simple to do but it is a bit of messing about due to the tight space and angle of the motor when taking out the old one and fitting the new one. I would say allow about 15-20 mins all in from start to finish including removing and refitting any screws & trim.

You will need a torch and you will have to work upside down
