Featured Replies

hallo all,

anyone no were i can bring a supply ,fused,for a accessory gadget,needs only 3volt.

thanks

chas.

Hi Chas, First of all where do you want the 3volt supply and at what current, if you are near a cig/lighter socket you can buy adaptors from 'maplin' which have a voltage regulator built in and supply 500ma. cheers - Stuart

Direct from the fusebox?

You can use a (fused) 'power tap' and use either a ignition fed or permanent feed.

I've run power from a couple of empty fuse slots on the fuse box. (DRLs and phone kit) In-line fuse and a spade connector to connect it.

However, I'm not sure you'll easily find a 3volt supply on a 12volt car. (As always, happy to be shown otherwise though)
