Storage Bags for removable seats

Featured Replies

Good Morning,

When I get my Yeti in March we will be removing the centre seat and making the Yeti into a 4 seater.

But does anyone know if anyone makes a bag in which to store the centre seat in to protect it from knicks etc, with it being a leather seat I want to protect it.

A quick search on Bing hasn't produced any results?

Thanks

I found these...

Scroll down a bit and you'll find waterproof seat covers. Not sure how much of the back they cover but suspect they go all the way down the back.

They might do the job?

I don't think anyone will make something specific, but I'm sure you can find a waterproof bag that will fit. The ones they use in kayaks. Or any bag for that matter!

Just one word of caution: make sure you move the seatbelt buckles out before you fold the seatback down. If you leave them between the base and back of the seat, they will dent the leather and leave permanent marks.

Tee hee

So that's about 20 -1 then :)

I'd suggest the most universal bag on the planet: the Ikea Bag :giggle:

Probably the cheapest option.

I considered doing this, but then you can always see into the boot. Someone on here made a screening board to deal with this issue.

Thanks for the response so far.

Seeing into the boot shouldn't be an issue as I'm having a tailored boot liner made. see this thread

I'll have a look at some general bags and see what is best. Failing that I might be able to get one made up by our local seemstress

2 Ikea bags will do the job. I stored mine in just 1 bag until my daughter complained. She missed being able slop around in the back. so I put it back.

If not in the UK, you could also try any Irish Republic dealer

Found my CC magazine at last !!!

Try these people www.bags4everything.co.uk they are in Wakefield, but operate mail order. They do 'made to measure' I have had things like spare wheel bags off them and they are very good (and very reasonable)

Primarily they work in the caravan industry, but as they are a small family firm they are very adaptable.

Should solve your problem.
