This may seem a daft Question, but not being mechanically minded, I have a 57 1.9 PD TDi 105 BHP Elegance, the owner manual refers to the DPF but how will i know if i have one, Some Diesel Owner Collegues with AuDI A3 170BHP have warned me i will have problems

I'm sure you won't but if you have it will have a three digit code in the front of the handbook - 7GG.

Newer cars that are EU5 will have a DPF.

If your car has code '0GG' on its vehicle data sticker, then it is the earlier EU4 compliant, and may or may not have a DPF.

My 2009 1.9 PD 105PS/77KW is EU4 compliant and doesn't have a DPF.

I've got a 57 1.9 Elegance too....no DPF :) :)

Think yourself lucky if you don`t have a DPF, pain in the F%*@£g ass
