Sorry it doesn't use the 3.5mm jack but connects to the changer port in the back of the stereo

Tested my 4S tonight and plays fine, just doesn't charge which was the same with my 3GS. iPod classic charges fine though

I think that you can buy a separate adaptor that fits in between the plug and iPod/phone to get it to charge the models that it won't charge as standard.
