I have given up on searching fleabay as such a load of rubbish on there, and loads unsuitable.

Basically I have a full size Xperia X10, and want to have a mount stuck/screwed to my dash to allow me to use it, generally as a sat-nav I guess, but also just to have as a phone holder. Also long term want to hook up bluetooth via it, but think I need a new head unit for that.

Can someone point me in a good direction please? Ideally would like one where the holder can swivel to hold phone upright, or side on, depending on use.

Have you had a look on the Brodit site?

I have one of these magnetic ones in each car - clips on the vent and works great with phone or PDA as it has a lip round the edge so all the magnet does is keep it attached - thelip supports the weight - but is only one way due to the shape...

Another vote for a brodit mount - i have a "pass through" mount in my Superb for my iPhone, and use it with the MDI.

Yet another vote for brodit. I have bought several holders from these people. Well made and does the job perfectly.
