Skoda Aero wipers

Featured Replies

Just a quick head's up to people, I was on the look out for a set of front Flat Blade wiper's for the vRS, happened to drop into TPS purely to get a standard rear wiper due to not being able to get one from Halford's and I asked whether they happened to have any.

They came up trumps with a set of Skoda Retro fit flat blade wipers to suit both the Octavia and Fabia.

Bought the flat blade's aswell as a new rear wiper blade and also noticed they had Screen wash on offer at £2.69 for 5l so bought some of that also.

Initial thought's on the wipers are good, a whole lot better than the fairly new Bosch Super Plus I bought last year, best thing was the price. £27 in total for the front and rear blades and the screen wash.

The rear I'm afraid is just a plain standard item, not upgrading to an Aero one just yet as looking to buy wheels and tyres later this month lol.

I was going to drive 15 mile's to my nearest Euro Car Part's to pick up a set of Bosch one's, so glad I decided to go TPS first which is just around the corner from me, saved me money in fuel and overall cost.

What's the part number as I can't make the receipt pic big on my phone

If you can get a Costco card, you can get Goodyear front aeros for about £11 for both. Mine have been fantastic so far and been on a few months so already outlasted some peoples' Bosch ones...

Part number is 1U2998003 but I really would look elsewhere first. TPS might have been convenient for the poster above but not all that cheap, IMO. Valeo ones are also worth a look, had those on my old Leon and again, they did several months where some people with Bosch were complaining about much shorter lifespans.

Looks good. :D A pic when fitted to the car would be nice (or them out of the box). What size are they?

It would be £25 + VAT if you bought them, so £30 for a pair of fronts. I wonder if they are actually made by Bosch, with VAG stamped on them so they can charge more for it. You can buy the Bosch ones for about £16 from Euro-car parts (with a Brisky discount).

Valeo's are good, £11.49 for 21' drivers and £9.99 for 19' passenger from halfords. Cheaper if you have a trade card

I had a look at the Valeo one's in Halfords and I wasn't overly impressed with them if I was honest, the overall quality didn't seem that brilliant and the curvature of the blade didn't seem a lot so I had image's of them not clearing the whole window.

Also the Valeo ones actual clip area where they attached seemed rather large and bulky, something I didn't want as they seem to stand out being retro fit, these clip's are rather small with a built in cover on the end's of the arms.

I fitted them last night but was getting late when I did, so I didn't take a pic. Will take one tomorrow. They are 21" & 19".

I'm not sure about them being made by Bosch, they say on the packet they are made in Belgium, they also have a built in wear indicator on the arm's so you know when they need replacing.

The Bosch ones are made in Belgium too. I'm not sure if they have a wear indicator though.

The small circle on the clip area is the wear indicator, it turn's yellow once they are worn out.

Used them most of yesterday in the rain and they were silent, miles better than the Bosch super Plus one's I had on before.
