when i went to clean the inside of the wheel ,i noticed major tyre damage (due to running such low profile tyres)

Nope, what kind of damage and what width wheel you running?

Ran 215/35 18 tyres for 20k with no issues.

Must be somthing causing damage as a low profile tyre wont destroy itself,

Mind used to catch on the silly middle speed humps on the inside of the rim never touched the tyre though

Pics would really help on this one fella

any tyre in particular or all of them?

Could possibly be running under inflated tires which is harder to spot the lower the profile is. Hence tire damage

hi ,just a quick update it's damaged three tyres ,,all of which have splits on the inner tyre wall ,i'll look what make they r tomoz and try to put a pic up

i' running 215 35 18 /8j

Many centre speed bumps your way?? Does sound like damage from them

From my tyre fitting experence the cheap low profile tyres would split on the sides after time if not correctly pressured or just real cheap nasty tyres, Just like they had been slashed

Fairly stretched running 215 on an 8J rim, what pressures did you run at.

there are a few speed humps near me ,but i think it's more likely that pot holes have done the damage !!! :S

the tyres that were on ,were HAIDA hdg21 ,,is this the reason ?

One of my fronts was the same as them. Noticed it not long after i bought the car while checking it over. StandaRd size thou on cheap tyres. But tyre depth was like new.

30 psi, so low then. vRS standard pressures are 34 front 33 rear, and I'd be tempted to run a bit more of 35 profile tyres.

wheelbase in oldham fitted these tyres ,this is what they recomended ! :moon:

As said 30psi seems pretty low for the size of wheels !

What make are the tyres ?

Ditchfinder Pro

Imo its the cheap tyres used to find this alot with fulruns always inner edge too
