Hello.

Today i've noticed that a small cap on top of the gearbox (inside the engine compartment) is not on his place (inside part $6, according to ETKA)

Please see part #7 from the attached image. What this cap is supposed to do?

My gearbox is 02K(DUU), 5speed manual gearbox.

I take it if you look through the hole you can see the flywheel? It's so you can view the timing marks for timing up the crankshaft.

This cap is placed right under the thermostat, so in right side of the engine towards air filter, MAF etc.

It is hard to take a look inside to see what it is there.

In ETKA, this cap is part of the gearbox...
