Seat bolster

Featured Replies

The outside bolster of my drivers seat has developed a hole, I've seen it on some other cars in exactly the same place so don't know if its the way the metal frame is designed or something

Question is, anyone that has had this problem and fixed it have you just stitched it or have you put some padding in and then stitched it back up? Don't want it to just come open again after a few weeks

Thanks

The actual foam padding wears through to expose the metal frame and then puts a hole in it. You could pad it out and restitch it but itll wear through again. You can get the foam parts of the seats individually but ive only ever got the base at £40 so unsure at the cost of the back part. Id get a new foam part then stitch the seat for now and try to get a second hand cover. Alternatively get a second hand decent seat then re foam it?
