Yeti Ordered

Featured Replies

Well, I've read all the comments on the Yeti and taken the plunge min-Jan, now looking forward to my 170 diesel in Muscovado and Gobi. Now ondering how long it will take. I'm thinking before June will be good, after will be bad. Am I about right?

Good Car, good engine, good luck with the wait!

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello santenay and welcome along

Dealer should be able to give you a good idea of delivery date and as time goes on you should get confirmation.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd estimate July(ish) as the diesel 4x4 versions usually take 6 or 7 months.

There are some threads about waiting times in the Yeti section of this website.

Hi santenay, good choice but fairly long wait I'm afraid. It will be worth it though and spend your wait on here it does help!:)

Thanks all for your thoughts. I'll check out the Yeti pages for timing threads. It's nearly Spring already!

Oh dear. Ordered mid-January and three weeks before my W25 build week I get a note saying there's been a delay. Estimated build week now W37! I'm not as patient as others so have switched to an in-stock Superb Estate instead. Maybe a Yeti one day when Skoda sort the supply issues out.......

I'm finding this interesting. I've been waiting some time too, and have thought about cancelling my order, but isn't there a contract issue here? How did your dealer react when you said you wanted to cancel? You have obviously managed it, I wonder if that was because you bought one of his stock cars (presumably)?

I think the dealer is just as frustrated as me with the supply issues so no problem. The car I switched to is manufactured but not in this country. I think there might have been problems recovering the deposit if I cancelled without buying a different Skoda but fortunately I didn't face that issue. If I had wanted to completely withdraw I think I would have agreed a date by which it is reasonable to wait and then cancel if the car has still not arrived by that date. I guess it depends on how long you are prepared to wait. Any 4x4s seem a particular problem at the moment.

Sorry to hear you couldn't get your first choice (same spec & colour as I've ordered), though I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Superb estate. I was sorely tempted with the Superb in the showroom when going in to order the Yeti back in December. I've been fortunate in that the wait has been spot on what the dealer predicted - late May/early June, and at least I know it's all done and waiting to be collected.

When you say its "manufactured but not in this country"...do you mean its brand new or used?

Mike - The Superb estate is new and apparently in a port somewhere, waiting to board a ship. There were quite a lot of DSG Estates with different added options to choose from.

Martin - looks like you've done well, ordering about a month before me and I've been a bit unlucky. I saw a Musco Yeti the other day and it's a great colour imo. Not available on the Superb.
