Be interesting to know how heavy the whole setup is, and what diameter pistons they have

Disk caliper + pad

is that these mate? :smirk: the mk4 kit or do they change anything for the octys

  • Author

It's for the mk4 golf but fits octavia too

sweet :smirk: just the matter of the grand then

8.4Kg

Even with carriers & bolts, well under the 13Kg (iirc) of OEM setup

Don't forget to drill a grub screw hole on the bell, that way you can tighten the disc to the hub, otherwise it'll be a right sod to line everything up when you fit the wheel!

If you can get hold of an old rear hub you can do it easily enough.

Steve :)

Look great :)

Replacing bolts with studs so don't need a grub screw. Hopefully getting them fitted tomorrow with the BC racing coilovers!

Didn't replace them with the studs but all 3mm spacers needed as with out there is a hairline gap. Wheel still spins though.

Had an issue bleeding the brakes had to bleed the mc but they are excellent!

Very very nice- how do they feel? Or do you still need to wait for them to bed in?

Also....clean your arches! :giggle:

why do some grooves and drill patterns go that way and others the other way like a directional tyre etc??????

had some grooved discs on my golf and they were put that way round

and thats not being funny - just a question emoticon-0148-yes.gif

i want new brakes emoticon-0106-crying.gif

Id really like a set of these, did you have to change anything else? Like master cylinder or something?

I heard rumours some kit need it or sumin? I think was something about otherwise the peddle feels difference or goes rite down or something? Something strange lol but i cant remember ..... Sorry im crap

Like master cylinder or something?

Nope

The only mk.4 platform specific item in the kit will be the carriers and brake line hoses.
