Layering poorboys?

Featured Replies

Applied pooryboys natty wax for the first time this weekend and WOW, its fabulous. Great shine, great beading and seems to be holding up much better than the cheap ****e im used to.

Is it worth applying another coat to add to the protection? I work in the middle of the country so after just two days of driving the car is covered in quite a lot dust, especially around wheels and the boot.

I layer with Collinite 476s. Wash the whole car so it's spotless and reapply. put about 4 coats on since I've had it and it's beading well

Always layer wax, some people will recommend lots of coats, two is sufficient, three is enough really.

Cheers guys, I'll give it another good wash down this weekend then apply another coat. As i said the car gets dusty after one commute and im going to be doing a long drive on saturday evening so best to get it on there properly.

I also put some on the rear/side windows...water beads of them really well. Great stuff.

Always make sure the previous coat has properly cured before you apply another

BTW...I wouldnt ever wax glass...Get some GTechnik G3 instead

Looks like some good stuff - I think I might get some for next time i clean the car.

I know your not supposed to wax the windows...but it seems to work okay. I would never do the front windscreen just incase anything happened.

Lol - dont worry i shall try the G3. I tried rain-x a few times on my octy and a mk3 astra and had nothing but problems with it. I may have been applying it wrong though.

why not the all windows except the windscreen?

Wax repels rain like sealants. They don't last as long but still do the trick.

ive waxed my side windows and even my rear before and never had a problem. My windscreen has car lack sealant an at the moment but id also like to try G1 as it works wonders on my mates car.

I only did the rear window as my rear wiper is broken currently. Once its fixed i wont be doing that anymore.

Whats the issue with waxing the windows? I've waxed and sealed them!

Since we are on the subject of poor boys....

Can you layer Nattys on top of EX-P sealant? If so, does it give any improvements?

Yes you can mate, it will give you different water behaviour and possibly a bit of depth and warmth to the paintwork that sealants alone will struggle to give.
