Very happy with interior, gained a middle headrest as well!

Next up:

- de-chrome door handles

- change interior vents either black or carbon

- leather door card inserts? (would like some advice if anyone has done this seperate to the rest)

Looking good. I had similar plans for mine when I bought mine almost 3 years ago but ive only done the splitter and grill. Plus a few 'pikey' mods.

May get a remap but cant justify spending money on it anymore.

Any of the pikey mods you can recommend? Most of the things I want to do now cost a bomb haha.

Was thinking of running on stage 1 for a little bit on standard parts but can't really afford to replace a clutch for a couple of months

Elephant hose mod and if your going to run a remap then the wheel arch mod. A search will bring up what you need.

Also there is a pikey Egr removal/bypass.

love a clean red car!

Wind deflectors do look very good on a red car!

if i had a choice to put everything on mine same condition etc. i would have a red car!

  • Author

Always wanted black magic fabia, never looked back after buying one in red

Red really is the best! I could have had a better / cheaper VRS but it wouldn't have been red!

There's just something about it once you ge the red/black combo going. Love my car at the moment, just this interior causing a nightmare but got some ideas!

Same here mate, I wanted a black one, but got frustrated with looking for a low mileage one in black and a mate found a red one in BSA car auctions with 31k and 1 owner so i decided to get it and now I love it like a child :giggle

Looking good Jonnyy, what's next on your to do list?

Haha, exactly same! Although not that low mileage to be fair, but a cracking runner!

Cheers bud, want my rx2's back! haha

-Seats getting changed in next week or two, needs a little bit of work on the rears and fronts are to be dismantled and rebuilt (good fun) Octavia vRS MK1 part leather seats going in, black leather outer and white cloth inner section £26 bargain (lucky ebay bid haha) in great condition

-Carbon wrapping the vent surrounds etc (possibly spoiler & roof too, but dont want to the paint to get ruined underneath)

-remap, but might wait till turbo and clutch go before doing it, will be spring before i get round to this though

Once seats are done, not really sure where to go with it next, really happy with how she looks on the exterior

Hope you have the BBS off for winter?

All sounds good m8,hope the weather gets better 4 u to do all your jobs, the bbs are staying on then getting a refurb in the spring

Are u going 2 the Whitby meet on Sunday?

  • Author

Yeah this latest one will be last one for a bit me thinks! Fair enough, having them a different colour?

Rear bench being reupholstered for next week so will all match

Are the seats just a straight swop?

Looking good, red was second on my list; after the best colour....black

  • Author

No bit of fiddling. Straight swap now though back to standard if I buy vrs seats. Then again they have vrs on and are loads more comfortable so probably leave them in for ever. Getting there with her now!

how did you fit the octy seats in mate ???

Looking good Jonnyy, glad the weather held out 4 u 2 get it done

Looks great, perfect height. How much were your coilovers? Did you have to fit anything else with them, mondeo droplinks, uprated bushes? How much has it been lowered?

Front two seats have to be taken out, dismantled & change bases, rebuild & bolt back in. Backs I just got reupholstered onto existing back bench and bases near enough fit!

Cheers bud, me too so comfortable are those seats!

Cheers dude, ride is perfect rarely scrapes! Ap coil overs but bought 2nd hand so was £235...all way down on back &helpers still in and matched height on front. Only did top mounts with the fronts. Don't need different drop links with ap's. not sure of exact mm drop but think its around 60mm
