Amunsden+ Head Unit

Featured Replies

Good Evening,

Just been into the dealer this evening to choose the registration plate for my new snow monster :-) It has left the factory this morning and is making its way across Europe to hopefully get here in the first week of March (fingers crossed and with the wind behind it!!)

Anyway - Whilst in the dealers I sat in the showroom model SE+ and noticed that the head unit in now an Amunsden+ not the Amunsden - The salesman said that all SE+ models built now come with that head unit and that the main difference was that the dealer could upgrade the maps on it.

Does anyone know what the VW equivalent of this headunit is please - I have been trying to find details on it but have not found any skoda specific documentation - I am guessing that it will be the skoda equivalent of the RNS315 - can anyone confirm this ????

Many Thanks

It'd be the VW RNS315. Have it in the Sharan.

I think the only difference really is DAB.

Thanks for all your help - I am confused about DAB?? Gadget man quoted "I think the only difference really is DAB." is that the difference between the Amunsden and the Amundsden+ or that the VW RNS315 has DAB and the skoda version (the Amunsden+) does not??

Many Thanks

Columbus = RNS510

Amunsden = RNS310

Amunsden+ = RNS315

it should have DAB on it.
