Xenons - other bulbs?

Featured Replies

Tried a search - couldn't find it. What other bulbs aside from Xenon D2S (obviously....) do the Xenon headlights use? I'm just wondering whether all the other bulbs (aside from dipped (obviously again :D) will just swap over. I think I read somewhere the main beams are a different fitment?

the xenons use the same side light bulbs, the h7 bulbs will fit into the full/high beam place. Indicator bulbs are the same but most people have had to use the old holders as the new ones dont hold the bulb properly, then the d2s bulbs for the headlights.

Cool cheers. Assume the loom must be different as I know H3 bulb mains on normal lights have a short length of wire to a blade fitting which goes into the loom, whereas H7s use a plug on the loom to sit on the back of the bulb.

yeah the h7 fitting is wired into the light unit so its all plug and play.

Cool! bye bye 100W rallyes then (which I think have been in so long they are probably worn out back to 55w....) - Wonder if anyone has tried non 55W H7s as main beam yet?

Ive put my 100w H7 philips bulbs into the full beams and theyre fecking bright! lol

I fancy some 100 watters, you have any problems with them?

OK - I will look into getting a set of those. Have used H3 100w for years now. have to be replaced if not blown every 2 or 3 years as they only hold full 100w power for about 24 hours of lighting up time I think.
