Boot lamp not working

Featured Replies

Hi lads,

first I thought it was simply the lamp that had gone off. But after replacing it with one of equal features (5W5) it still won't switch on when I open the boot. Could it be a fuse? All other interior lamps and number plate bulbs seem to be working fine.

I'm not sure if it might be related, but after replacing the boot lamp with a new one and switching the ignition on, one of the rear right light bulbs failed and a message was shown in the Maxi Dot. Although that disappeared after switching the ignition off and on a couple of times.

We had our turbo replaced at the end of last summer. Can't tell if it started failing since then.

Anyone have a piece of advice?

Thanks!

It could also be the boot light switch in the latch that has gone...

Hi there,

Just had the same problem and had the boot catch replaced under warranty. Had to wait 4 weeks for the part as it was on back order! Fitted last week and since no issues.

Thx for your reply guys. Still have a month left of warranty, so I'll make sure to get it checked before it runs out.

Cheers.

Hi, I had the same issue and the replacement of the boot catch was the solution. Success.

I am afraid I also need a boot catch replacement.

It is not the lamp, it is not the fuse and service guy said he needs half an hour to check the boot catch and I was on a hurry.

I am out of warranty.

Any idea how much does it cost?

Can I tell them that it appears to be a common fault on yetis?

Not really when only 3 people have reported a fault so far!
