3 Network In Uk - Iphone 4S > Octavia Bluetooth?

Featured Replies

Hi all, looking to purchase an Octavia this week, and looking to fit it with the factory fitted "Telephone preparation GSM III with Bluetooth (UHV + rSAP) and Maxi-dot"

My question is, will my Iphone 4s on the 3 network work? Seen odd posts in the past stating that 3 isnt compatible?

Also, when I add this extra, I am forced to have the "4 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio and telephone" - is this without the small leather package that is included on the "4 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio, including small leather package and Maxi-dot" wheel? or is it the same? Would quite like the leather!

it will be fine, since all the octavia is when used with an iphone is a glorified bluetooth headset with additional functions (UHV Mode). I think the issue revolves around RSAP phones, but the iphone does not support RSAP.

I think you still get the leather wheel as this is I believe the only wheel with the phone controls.

So what exactly can j control through the skoda and mfsw with my Iphone? Is it worth the extra expense?

Apologies for not being able to post the link, but if you check in the ICE section there is a pinned post with a list of compatible phones and what will work and won't.

Hope this helps.

iphone will work with the current bluetooth module using handsfree mode. the real issue was when Skoda used a handsfree kit that was rsap only

Cheers for the replies. So of those of you who have the telephone pack and an iPhone, do you reccomend?

I assume the maxidot mentioned in the telephone pack is the full maxidot trip computer?

Yes and yes to both. You can still answer and make calls via the steering wheel even in UHV mode. Only thing you cant do is read text messages on the maxidot since they are sent to the iphone and not the car. You still get the address book, signal strength and so on.

Why you'd want to read text messages on the maxi-dot is beyond me, it's dangerous (possibly illegal) and it means you're not concentrating on what you should be namely the road & what's in front of you.
