basically iv got a baxi combi 105e its got on the left a switch heating and hot water,a off,and a just hot water switch, on the right its got a timer and in the middle its got a on, off and timer setting.

if the boiler is set to heating and hot water but heating off on timer switch, i can run hot water upstaires and i get hot water and heating activates for the length of time the tap is on,

if i want hot water downstaires iv got to manually turn heating on :S if i put the switch to just hot water i still dont get hot water down staires unless i put heating on, but up is ok as should be,

its doing my head in whats wrong? diverter switch? or have i just got a freeking dog fart boiler that needs burning as its costing loads of gas as iv got to turn heating on off etc just to wash dishes etc :@:@ :@ cheers aaron

Does sound like diverter how old is it? How long has it been like this? If you ring baxi themselves they can out you in contact with a local baxi accredited service engineer. Who should be able to diagnose and repair at hopefully a reasonable Price or replace with a new boiler if it's getting on a bit. We had a baxi main combi eco fitted last year for around a grand. But that price could alter depending on your location

Does the boiler light up when you turn on the tap downstairs? If not then it may be the sensor that detects the tap being on needs adjusting as it works for the upstairs taps. (I take it that it is one of the instant heat types, if not this is complete BOL***S)

Are there any service valves under the downstairs taps as it might not be fully open and not releasing enough pressure when you open the tap, try changing the washer as it might be restricting the flow, all the hot water taps should be on the same outlet of the boiler. cheers - Stuart
