How much for a 80 k service ie all the filters changed including pollen filter they say they use a different oil in the diesel engine to help stop the camshaft wear is that right or is it b ....t quoted £ 200 all in .

just had my service done full service all filter replace oil for £190 with book stamped

from a vw specialist

Had mine done at unit 18, was around £120 all in.

Yeah use Unit 18.

Give Ali at unit 18 a shout. It's not far from you -MK near Wolverton .And yes ,it's 505.01 oil in the engine .There's a thread in here somewhere on their prices . Way down on main dealers .

£200 sounds cheap - the 80k service is the BIG one (2 x 40k) so should be nearer £300 at a dealer + extra for brake fluid if relevant.

What have you been using for top-up? With respect I thought everyone knew that the oil type is critical...

David I have not topped up the car with oil as I have only just got it and want to have it checked over and all up together love the car to bitsmy other car is a 1989 mk2 16v golf that I have owned from new .regards RAY P .
