Yeti door handles.

Featured Replies

The door handle on the rear, drivers side, door on my Yeti has started to 'stick' in the open position, not retract when released. This first happened a few weeks ago, one particularly freezing cold morning, and I initially put it down to the conditions, assuming it had frozen. But now the weather is milder it is still happening - not all the time, but occasionally. Any thoughts - does it just need a bit of grease somewhere? Has anybody else had a similar problem?

I had the same thing with my 1.2 and took it to the dealer he just sprayed some cleaning fluid on the rear part of the handel and it never happened again.

I think it was a build up of muck on the plastic part that slides out when you pull it plus maybe a bit of the wax protection they put on the car.

Thanks for that Kevin, I'll ask them to have a quick look next time I'm passing by.

I agree with Kevin. Muck inbetween the moving parts. Try a squirt of WD40. Worked for me on the fabia, although a different design. :)
