glasses holder

Featured Replies

hi just bought a sunglasses holder and fitted it today.a very simple mod and it only cost £17.99 from local dealer. you can buy these on ebay for £19.99 and £3 postage.

it looks alot better than the blank that was a standard fit.only took 5 mins to fit.

anybody else had a go at this?

Yup, highly recommended!

As a side note, dealers are sometimes a lot cheaper than superskoda or ebay for the same parts.

will look in to fitting 1 for that price

Would this be the same glasses holder as on the Elegance, the one that NO glasses fit!

can you post a link please?

I have the Elegance Spec' and my glasses fit perfectly-both pairs!.

They wil not take the spectacle case is this what you mean?.

:giggle: I have two Chesterfield fire chairs next to the woodburner in the dining room, slippers, a cat and a Yeti, but alas, no monocle or pipe (yet)!

In outline, what it the fitting process? Yank off the plastic cover and clip in the holder?

As an aside, a previous car I had (Mazda RX-8) had a sunglasses holder as standard. It was clear what it was - it was located exactly where the Yeti one is and was the size and shape to take sunglasses. However, upon many report from owners that it rattled annoyingly when it had anything in it, Mazda issues a statement saying it was not intended for the storage of sunglasses!

Pry it out with a flat screwdriver.

It's very easy, I did it in a Sainsbury's next to the dealer.

as above just carefully prize the panel out.then put the bottom in first then gently push the two clips in on the top .

i have not noticed any rattling coming from the glasses holder with the glasses in even on a bumpy road

Now where do I put the crystal whisky glasses?

Give it time.

A pipe may fit in, that's a good idea, i had been wondering what to put in there. No sunglasses fit, without case.

I have to say I only tried using it a couple of times but find it easier to leave them in the case in the driver's door pocket. I must find a use for it

Thanks for that,

I will order a unit from skoda parts.com and try to fit it , seems the only downside from the SE model,( apart from the supplied summer tyres! they were OK but wish we had the vectors instead)

anyway, Iwill watch for the parcel.

Thanks,
