I have access to a remapped octy vrs mk 1 and just wondered as well as swapping the ecu to another car to 'move' the map. What else would be needed to work with the ecu, am i right in thinking something to do with the ignition barrel needs moving also???

If its a immo3 you will need the secret key codes from the mapped ecu and your current ecu. Then follow the Ross tech procedure.

Or have you immo EPROM read and flashed over the new one, or simply have the immo turned off.

I think youll need the dash dials, ignition barrel and key.

or like said get the imo turned off.

Dont think you can recode with just vag com/VCDS?

Its an easy re-coding job with VCDS check the owners list somebody local mite be able to help you.
