Yeti's Residual Still High

Featured Replies

Looks like Parkers are catching up with the popularity of the Yeti; they were way off with their figures when I P/X'd the previous Yeti in late 2010, with the exception of the new RRP price :giggle:

That's why I've traded ours in for a new one. The PX price was too good to pass up. :)

Interesting that 8 of the other cars in the top ten are tiny city cars (the Jimny being something else altogether) and the Yeti being the only "big" car in the list!!!

You can get a decent Jimny for 2-3k...was playing with the idea as they make excellent green lane toys. :)

We bought one after all the snow last year, which is probably why we've hardly seen any snow since :giggle: If you're used to the comfort and sophistication of a Yeti then a Jimny might be bit of a shock!

I rented a Jimny for a week once in Mykonos. Thought it would be bouncy and terrible on that short wheelbase but I was pleasantly surprised! It was a great fun little car that. It is amazing though that that very car shape of Jimny I rented in 2003 is STILL the same one being sold today in 2012! Eeck!

Ditto, but zakynthos 2004! Really enjoyed the whole convertible Jeep in the sunshine (and of course i didn't go off road, would have gone against the rental agreement!)

Oh we did not notice that bit of the agreement and did go offload. :giggle: We were well impressed!

In percentage terms, the Yeti is the best by miles ...11%. That is amazing.

Possibly of interest, although I know about the clever tactics of the firm, webuyanycar is still offering me more than I paid for my car, which I bought new and now has 6000 odd miles on the clock. It is pristine (except for the mud/dirt) so they would be hard pushed to reduce their offer on inspection for "faults".
