One for the MX5 Owners

Just as it says above really - how many of you have been enjoying the milder weather over the last few days?... I have!

Checked the battery the other weekend and charged it up - started it this weekend (first turn even after about 3 months standing) and took it out of the garage for the first time yesterday and dropped the hood. Couldn't drive it smoothly at first as I couldn't get the clutch biting point right and the rear discs were a bit noisy but it was all back to normal after 10 minutes or so.

In it again today as well and have to say I feel much brighter today...

Mine never went away in the first place. :)

Was out in the icier weather a while back and accidently spun it

but no damage.

Had the roof down only the other day taking my

10 year old brother in law to be home after a videogames session.

Was glad of the heated seats though. B)

I'm driving to my wedding in it next Saturday as well.

Will have to have the roof down then as my best man is a bit taller

than me and I only just get my head under the roof.

Enjoying driving my "courtesy car" :D Even got the roof down for the 1 mile drive home from work! Lovely! :D

Not an MX5 but the MR2 goes out roof down all year. Have to watch it a bit in the cold and wet, what with R888, LSD, around 230lb/ft and no traction control it can be a bit fiesty, but nothing beats a crisp moonlit cross country cruise.

Mine never went away in the first place. :)

Mine used to be like that but with three cars to choose from and at 17 years old I figured it deserved a break so tucked it away this year...

Drove a long way top down today. Down to the gym, over to Dads and back. Lovely weather!

Mines getting a good wash and waxing etc on Wednesday,

It's on the huge list of things the mother in law has issued me with

for me to get done before next Saturday. I also have to clean the SDI and I quote

"paying particular attention to the passenger door sill" :o

I kid you not...

mmmm seeing this thread makes me nostalgic.

I managed to flip my old Eunos Roadster over end-end about 3 times on a fun b-road on my regular drive home a few years ago. Luckily I had the hard-top on & it landed the right way up, got out with a few cuts & bruises. Pretty impressive for a car with almost zero safety devices!

My Octy is the first semi-fun car I've been allowed since ...

Mines going back on the road on Thursday, Sorned it over winter more, more for financial reasons as we just had new windows and doors.

Got to tidy up the sills a bit where some underseal is peeling but other than that she is looking great, started first turn of the key, but that's because I dropped a new Westco battery in and left it hooked up to my spare optimate :-)
