Can someone tell me what torque the setting is for sump plug on fabia Vrs and is it better to prime the oil filter housing .

its very low, 30 Nm /22 Lb Ft

Haynes makes no mention of priming with oil, but surely it can't hurt.

You cant really prime it unless your putting the filter in first then the cap or the oil is going straight down into the sump anyhow.

Is it just fine then to put the sump plug in, fit the filter then fill with oil? I thought the oil pump was self priming anyhow?

If u reset service light with the twiddle button ignition on/off method I take it will come back on in 10 thousand miles or so

The way I did it last time was:

Remove filter

Drain

Fit new plug

Fit new filter

Fill with oil until it showed on the dipstick

Run the engine for about 5-10 seconds with no throttle (to fill filter housing)

Fill with oil until it showed on the dipstick again

Run the engine for a few seconds again

Check the level was still right
