Whats my 2005 Fabia vRS worth? Private and Part Exchange

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Not been on here for a long while as the Fabia has been faultless and I've been busy with my career. Anyway after four years of Fabia ownership I have decided its time to move on so I'm looking to part exchange or potentially sell it privately if I can move it quickly.

I have looked on all the various sites but the prices seem to vary wildly on auto trader and all used car valuations. What can I expect to get for it privately or in part exchange?

Here are the stats:

2005 '55' Fabia vRS

Corrida Red

84,000 miles

Mot Oct 2012

Tax Jan 2013

Full service history- Skoda and Independent.

Standard spec except for retro fitted Skoda Navigation and 6 disc changer, colour coded grille (original could be included) and a MOTECH/Unit18 Remap.

New brake pads all round in January this year and also 2 new front tyres. New radiator fitted August 2011 and also a new dog bone mount last summer.

Couple of tiny dents but otherwise pretty good for 6.5 year old car. Alloys could probably do with refurbishment or a professional clean.

Is £4500 unreasonable for a private sale?

Thanks

Luke

I reckon thats pushing it tbh.

£4k should be no probs though.

So you have OEM Sat Nav? Thats very rare and should help shift it!

Yes its an original Skoda MFD unit. Not fantastic by modern standards but does the job perfectly well and saves removing a portable one.

You defo get 4500 for it on ebay, check out the going rates on ebay/autotrader etc.

4500 seems reasonable, would you very interested in selling the colour coded grill surround separate? (if perfect condition?)

Thanks

I've been offered £3k px on my 54 plate with 80k miles, so I'd say you'd be looking at a similar figure; yours is slightly newer, but the milage is slightly higher.

Privately, I'd say £4.5k is a bit optomistic, but not unacheivable, reckon £4-£4.3 would be easily do-able though.
