Hi all

I have a 1.3 mpi felicia mpi 98,75000 miles. So ive spent a few quid on alternator, clutch, total brake overhaul, most of the rad pipework, new rear wheel bearings, new battery, any way loads of stuff, well i thought iv paid for this to b done so will next part. :)

Now i find myself driving at 30 to 70 and being deathened by a droning noise from i think front of car.

I also noticed a rachet like noise when turning corners but i had drive shaft sorted (apparently) in last couple of years.

so ive spent a grand on the motor its a great car starts on the button and keeps up wiv all these ****s in there new motors ha ha!

A bit of advice would be great

im also after some cheap alloys and tyres

cheers thanks much apprecited

Does the droning get louder when you go round a corner?

No its quieter when theres a right turn,I've bought new front bearing but lookin on net u need harness and it seems too difficult for 1 man and bag of spanners!

If it's quieter when you're turning right.... then the weight is off the right front, so that could well be it. I take it you mean "a press", rather than "harness"? It's easiest done with it, and you can always take the hub/carrier off and then take it to a friendly garage to get the new one pressed in...will still save you a bunch of money.

you havent said roughly where you are but if youre not too far from me i'll press in a new bearing for you to get you going again
