Replace Symphony radio?

Featured Replies

As usual need some help. Long drive recently hit a pot hole, knew it was going to do some damage and to my surprise it was the radio that died!

Looking to replace with a like for like, the bay is selling them for £100, has anyone bought from a scrapy for less? Or is there somewhere better to buy from excluding the stealer.

Any advise appreciated.

Have you checked the simple things like that the pot hole didn't dislodge the fuse or the wiring out the back of the radio? Saves the cost of getting a new radio etc when it could be connection/electrical issue...

Agree with the above, before you go to the expense of replacing something at least try and find out what's wrong with it, you'd be more than a little peed off if you plug in the new one and have the same issue and it turned out to be a fuse/short etc.

tired the usual suspects. If i am honest it was on its last legs when i got the car a year ago. the volume button was jammed in and it would turn on and off. In the process of "fixing" it after it died I broke the volume button out :wall: but this allowed me to see the extent of the damage behind the button left by the previous owner. I have no idea how it worked for as long as it did!

I have already had a few pm's about getting parts off the old radio. are radio faults common?

The buttons are top or bottom hinged. Deranged owners break them when they get frustrated and JAB! at them.
