Good News...!

Featured Replies

I've just got a letter from Skoda with that on the heading, valuing me as a customer, and asking me to call my friendly local dealer.

Has anyone taken the bait on this, or know what it's about? Is there some particular model they're trying to get rid of, or are there genuine bargains on offer?

Thought I'd try and get some background before calling them.

We had one of these last year when we'd had our old Scout for 3 years. We popped along to the dealer and they offered us, what they called, an improved trade-in price against a brand new Yeti, that we were looking at at the time. I think it was about a grand more than the price they would have offered us anyway.

Interestingly, 3 months later when we actually traded in our Scout through another dealer against a used Scout, we got offered another grand more than the "special price" on the "good news" offer, so be careful with what this good news actually means.

Thanks, GroundHog. I guess it's no more than the usual March push to sell off old stock then.
