8800 GTX with water block

Featured Replies

Hey folks.

Thinking about an upgrade on the graphics front.

The card works perfectly! No problems at all. It's been fitted with a water block almost from day one. I bought it new from Ebuyer. It is an ebuyer value one and was £199.99. It's done me proud and does actually still manage with new games and pretty high settings such as TDU2, Alan Wake etc.

As the card has been fitted with a water block it has run much cooler than any others. While playing games even for several hours I have only known the card to peak up to around 58c. They are designed to go right up to 105c without breaking!

I also have the stock cooler and fan that can be fitted if necessary.

If you don't want the water block then I will just include the stock cooler and reduce the price accordingly.

The water block is one of these:

£90

Collection preferred but can arrange postage once I've got it all weighed etc.

The GTX8800 is a beast of a card!

Hehe.

I know... it really has been a good card and I'm still amazed at how well it keeps up with even new games.

Just after a little extra power under the hood... Although I can play all the new games I can't turn them all the way up and run them at full resolution.

The only reason I haven't upgraded before now is that I haven't really needed to but I really to enjoy my new game at full resolution with the settings turned up :)

I was forced to upgrade my card as it died :(

What you getting next?

Not sure.

I'm on a bit of a budget. Maybe just along the lines of a GTX 570.

Can't afford a full upgrade atm either so the trusty old Q6600 will have to do!

I think that's why mine has lasted so long running nice and cool etc.
