A1 Gp

Anyone see about this on 5th Gear last night?

Just been to the website a1gp.com and it seems like quite a good idea, all equal cars with no driving aids etc and a driver from each country.

think it will take off?

It's a fantastic idea and I hope it gives F1 the kick up the bum it deserves. Think I might be taking a trip to Brands Hatch later in the year to see the first race, even th GF seems interested :)

I certainly hope it takes off.....i'm on the list for scrooting for the whole weekend :D so i dont want it to be cancelled

Seems like a top idea to me. And I like the fact he's not trying to go head to head with F1 Races. He seemed like a genuine enthusiast too.

Then again he must be to spend that sort of cash!

Looks good fun.Oh to be loaded!

Whats all that with Plato's Tutankhamen beard though

He looks a bit ridiculous!

He's always looked ridiculous, apart from whenever he's driving a car that is

Well the race of champs where all the touring and other drivers had a blast round oulton in the same make was perhaps the best race I've seen in a long time.

So I think it will work if it's given enough backing. The fiscal disparity is quite frnakly the sole killer of WRC and F1 as they stand today...however the new regs in F1 have made it a little more entertaining. The cynic in me says Bernie is paying Ferrari to hold back for a few races, then unleash.
