i have been looking on ebay and have found a k04 setup for sale. i just need to know will my exhaust manifold fit? and will the car be driveable to go and get the remap done or will it have to be towed?

no your exhaust mannifold wont fit or your down pipe !!!

what does it come with ??

as you need injectors maf tip lcr fuel pump turbo k04 mannifold ko4 down pipe + mapping

as for mapping you will need to tow it there imo or leave you standard injectors in and run off boost

it comes with Turbo, Manifold, Injectors, Oil & Water pipes, TIP, Charge pipe, and DP

thats cool the dp wont fit yours it will need to be welded into the k03s one

if it comes with exhaust mannifold then yes it will fit

charge pipe you dont need !!

so yes it will all fit apart from you will need to adapt the down pipe

also you will need to upgrade the intercooler system if still oem

also you then need a remap etc etc

alot of work for not a lot of gain imo

what sort of power can i expect from the k04 and k03 hybrid is there much difference?

Completely new to this but i believe a ko4 maps to 265/270bhp

A stock ko3s can hit 230/240 so surely a hybrid should hit 260/270

well the k04 surely can go higher than 230 because on the 225 engines with them standard they map to 260-270 bhp on a stage 1 map. But surely you can only get a k03s hybrid from a shop which means £££££ where as the k04 setup is only £400 all in

k04-023 with sorting mods can be up to 270 -280

hybrids all depends on which one you go for as there are a few variations

from 260 to 300+

but again they all need the right supporting mods

so really there is not much difference in power but alot in the price lol is it possible to get a k04 with the 001 exhaust housing to fit on a k03 downpipe?

A K04-001 turbo will be the one to go for if you are after a std exhaust mounting DP fitment as these are a special made K04 to accomadate our K03s manifolds and DP. What k04 variant are you going for as it does depends on how much work is needed to made it bolt up. A BAM engine (S3,LCR) K04 will need as Clive states injectors, DP welded etc etc.

well im going thursday to have my new downpipe fitted so want to keep that really n i might sound stupid asking but cant you bolt the exhaust housing from the k03 to the k04? or are they different?

o well just a thought. i think im going to go with the k04 and try and get one before thursday so they can buile the downpipe to fit. what shape is the flange on the downpipe, because im pretty sure mine is square.
