IWhen changing the indicator stalk, the airbag spiral cable got damaged. Can this wiring part be replaced or does one need to buy a new airbag?

I'm pretty sure that it can be replaced on its own.

You probably need a new slip ring, its not advisable to try and repair airbag wires.

Fortunately the airbag wiring harness is available for 26 pounds. Part no 1J0 971 584 H. Will be a straight plug and play...I hope

I must correct myslef, it was not the spiral cable but a resistor wire in the airbag hub that snapped
