Hi to everyone on here.

I have just bough an Octavia vRS TSi which I am picking up next weekend. It's an ex-demo so has had all the options boxes ticked and i'll be getting it remapped ASAP. This is my first skoda so be gentle with me

Ive p/x'd a Seat Exeo TSi which I liked very much but having tried a friends new Superb V6 I totally fell in love with the Skoda DSG box. Looking very much forward to having a good blast when I get it, but I thought I'd join here to get any advice/tips/gossip!

Welcome to Briskoda - I nearly had a Exeo Tourer as a company car but plumped for a Superb in the end, unfortunately not a V6 though!

I was never happy with the performance of the original brakes. The braking efficiency felt poor, and in wet weather the discs would quickly develop surface rust. When braking in damp or rainy conditions, the noise made it sound like I was driving an old car with worn-out brakes. After 50,000 km, I decided to replace the brakes. I installed Zimmermann discs and pads on the front axle. Braking performance didn't improve noticeably, but the annoying noise in wet weather is finally gone. Now I only

I have always thought my rear suspension a little soft when towing or even with a full tank. I fitted rubber assisters and this has helped hugely but I would like a little more permanent solution. How can I tell if springs such as these - https://www.autodoc.co.uk/lesjofors/9735347 are heavier duty? It does say for towing. Would fitting new shocks (Bilstein B6?) help as well? I suppose crawling under to see what shocks I have, and what springs I have may a good idea anyway? I think the

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? I was looking on autodoc to try and order some nuts as I didn't know how often they
