"The HU needs to know when to switch to the reversing camera image on the screen, so it needs a trigger. Either this might be supplied with an additional cable running beside the video feed from the rear of the car, or you can source something yourself - using the reversing light switch from the gearbox is probably the easiest (and the same as the feed to the bulbs at the back of the car - just the other end of the loom)."

Will try and find the reverses live tomorrow and attach that too the purple trigger. Sorted!

no dude! lol try the 1 you have attached to your rear number plate lights on the trigger (purple wire) Live goes to your reversing lights!

It's all in and working now. Thanks for the help. Basically I patched into the reverse light and it worked.
