Wow! Cant tell it used to be a taxi!

If im right in thinking you can get a replacement off most VAG's, not just Skoda, my Mk4 Golf used to have this light switch, get one from a scrappy?

You can pick them up cheaper than that.As mentioned a scrapyard would have a fair few of those.

Theres a load on ebay for around £15-20. Or as above a scrap yard

I see its a DSG too, at 220,000 miles is it still on the original gearbox?

I am trading my 2005 Octavia II, it was a taxi too but, sure i was a better owner than this :giggle:

I think you will also need new air vent (i had same problem on rear vents cos some customer broke them :@ )

IIRC the VW glows red not green. I was told that when I was doing the autolights on Nelly a lil' while ago, plus the outer ring is a different size.

Maybe this would be an apportune time to reto-fit autologhts (if it's already got the light sensor too) ;) ;)

Correct. They looks the same (actually i don't remember about the ring) but the VW one glows red.

The only thing is though, i dont know if its just me being short but i can even see the light switch when im sat back in my seat, been quite a few times iv not noticed iv pulled the fog lights on :/
