Just picked up my 05 Vrs and must say that first impressions of the car are bloody good....The ride in comparison to my old Leon Fr TDI is so smooth as opposed to being knocked all over the show when hitting bumps. I forgot how responsive the 130 TDI's are . It lacks a little at top end but defo on a par with the 150's. Interior looks good and feels solid....Off topic the guy who was claening my car at the dealer before i picked it up gave me some glue remover liquid cause i said i wanted the black side mouldings taking off, which i thought was very decent of him. The saleaman also said that mods were warranty friendly (specific to remaps) as long as it wasnt the turbo that blew ! Just got into takin the mouldings off and the damn rain came down !

That is interesting as I spoke to my dealership about mods when I was buying and he said that doing anything would totally invalidate the warranty. The example he used was if I remapped it and the dash cluster started playing up they wouldn't replace it under warranty.

My dealers are very friendly, they even said bring it in for us when you get it done be good to see what its like.

Just a matter of waiting for my insurance renewal so I can switch to a friendlier insurance company.

The example the salesman told us was that they took a part ex in on a Octy Vrs with 270 BHP....but prior to doing so they they checked with there warranty peolpe and they said fine as long as the turbo doesnt blow ! He said they have had quite a few cars that have been chipped /remapped and have had no issues with them .
