undertray fixing solutions

Featured Replies

undertray is being a pain in the crotch! we cable tied it up due to missing clips that retain it in place but after 1 day i reckon with it being low, speed bumps are causing the cable ties to fail. so do we know part numbers for the retaining clips and screws? or another form of keeping this thing in place! soo annoying. i pretty much dragged it home the other night after it failed. and now the cable ties aren't holding either.

I'd be more worried about the sump etc. Only thing I can think of it to cable tie it higher so it's less "catchy". Or raise the car 10mm-15mm or so for road use.

Aluminum Nut rivets, counter sunk bolts

Industrial cable ties is what's holding mine on ;)

where will i get industrial cable ties? tool station?

The proper two piece clips are available from the main dealer network.

I think they are around 80p each. I've got some somewhere I'll see if I can find

them for the part number. I bought some just in case I lost the centres last time my

bumper was off for splitter fitting...

I've got the part numbers at home as I've just bought all the clips etc to fit an undertrays. I'll post them all later on for you

That would be helpful thanks mate

I could do with three of those push in clip things that go across the front of the bumper, which I think are what Garry is referring to? So if anyone has that part number, I'd appreciate it. Mine got punched out last night as I was trying to get my bumper off in the dark, as they seemed to be a different design from Jonny5ive's that he posted pics of in his washer bottle upgrade thread...

yep it was indeed numbers 4's theres 3 of them up the back, i had 2 missing and the middle rear one was bent so very loose, hence the falling down, nipped into skoda about 4pm yesterday and the parts sorted me out and sent me on my way. i went out around 40 mins ago, simply jacked up, 2 axle stands just to be sure to keep nose up. under i went.....clippy clippy clippy, screwy screwy screwy. sorted :D , nice and tight now. also checked all other screws and cables ties, so it shouldn't be going anywhere now. thanks for the help folks. and to mattievrs for the illustrated parts image.
