A little off topic, but I bought my vRS Octavia sight unseen. It was in Leeds and I was on the South Coast. I paid £250 for a full Dekra vehicle inspection plus HPI. All was fine so we agreed a price and I took a flight to Leeds. Seller met me at the airport, went to his house filled in the paperwork, handed over the cash and then went on the best 4 hour drive of my life home. 3 years on and the miles have doubled and it hasn't missed a beat. This car will still be under warranty and has clearly been owned by someone who has cared for it. Well worth the slight hassle to get a really good one, plus you'll be saving £'s off a dealer price even if you do spend £250 on an inspection plus £200 in travel costs. I reckon I saved at least £1500 all in. Distance is nothing for the right car in my opinion!!!

One of the scourges of Greek roads are abandoned motorcycles. Some they have suffered major damage and are not being repaired, some because owners have abandoned them because they no longer want them, other they are stolen, etc. The process to be removed from the from the State takes from 3 months to 3 years. Hi Everyone, I have been investigating how I can replace the decorative trim pieces on the console of the O4 (see attached picture (version I would like). The easy part has been figuring out the general part numbers, however I get stuck on the specifics. I know the O4 has two technical variants; one with stock leds and one with RGB leds, and that there is a multitude of different codes for all the different colours/textures. This might be just a coincidence. But I have just had a new windscreen fitted following a rock being thrown up by a lorry's wheels hitting it, which left a small chip, which after a few days became a long crack and was growing. The screen was replaced last week, and yesterday I discovered the seat was not responding to the controls. I cannot see any fuse listed in the owner's manual which states it supplies power to the seats. The driver's seat is working as usual, which made me think it must b

Hi all, I noticed a few forums posted over a decade ago, but unfortunately didn't seem to relate. I've got an issue where the cd auto changer had a fault. I pressed the eject button which spat the magazine out. I checked over the cds and everything seemed fine. After reseating the mag, the stereo no longer recognises the magazine, and says "no magazine". Since then I've tried to eject the mag, but had no luck. Has anyone had any issues with this? I removed the autochanger in the idea of fitt

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help
