Should these codes be looked at ASAP

Featured Replies

Decided it would be a good idea to see if my Fabia vRS was clear of any codes as it usually is...

To my surprise it came back with a few of them... I was wondering if they should be seen to ASAP or can they wait a few month until my service is due.

  • P2100 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Open

  • P0237 turbo Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

  • P0113 Intake Air Temp Sensor 1 Circuit High

  • P0230 Fuel Pump Primary Circuit

Any help greatly appreciated

:)

My guess is that you have a faulty DI system relay. It's in position 15 on the relay plate.

Some of the sensors only connect to ECU and the last one relates to the fuel pump relay which has a feed from the DI system relay.

The fuel pump relay common problem? i had this replaced about a year ago.

my car's due a service in like 2k miles and it won't take me long to get there so I will wait untill my car goes for its service and get it seen to then :)

Air temp sensor and boost sensor are combined in the same unit so I'd have a look at the wiring on that.

The two relays that tend to fail most often are the DI system (ECU power) relay and the fuel pump relay. To complicate matters, the supply for the fuel pump relay is switched by the DI system relay.

A sluggish DI system relay can cause all of the faults that you have (I realise that by suggesting a single cause, I have condemned you to three unrelated problems :) ).

Thank you both for the input... I really wish it was as simple as my other cars to fix!

I will just leave it to save doing anything else wrong until i put it for a service at Skoda :)

I will tell him the codes and about the DI system relay to hopefully save him charging me for checking!
